Firstly select the type of Pendulum you wish to use, pendulums come in all shapes and sizes and a variety of materials from wood, brass, metal, to crystal. The Pendulum should be attached to a chain or silk string about six to eight inches long for best results. Begin by sitting in a comfortable position and let your mind relax, rest your elbow of your dominant hand on a table and grasp the pendulum cord between finger and thumb so the pendulum hands still.

Once the Pendulum has steadied itself ask it mentally to show you “YES” it should start to move slowly at first in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction, once you have established the rotation for “YES” steady the Pendulum and ask it to show you “NO” again it will move in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction depending on which is your dominant hand, for example if it swings clockwise for “YES” it will swing anti-clockwise for “NO”. Most right handed people will get a clockwise direction for “YES” and anti-clockwise for “NO”

Once you have established yes/no you now need to establish “UNSURE” ask the question and it may move in a back and forth motion or left to right, everybody is different and can fine tune their Pendulum for their own use.

So we now have a very basic configuration of yes/no/unsure there are many more variations you can tune it to depending on the type of dowsing you wish to carry out with your Pendulum.

To test the Pendulums answers a very simple attunement exercise is to ask it a question you know the answer to for example “Is my name X ?” , to which it should reply “YES”. Another simple exercise is to get three opaque cups and get a friend to place a coin  under one of the cups why you are not looking. Begin by holding the Pendulum over the first cup by finger and thumb and asking the Pendulum “Is the coin here?” It will swing either yes or no, when you get a “YES” lift the cup to discover the coin! I have 100% Success rate with this method and it is great for building your confidence and trust in your Pendulum Dowsing abilities.
