Pendulum Dowsing is a skill that can be learnt using a variety of dowsing pendulums. Pendulum Dowsing uses pendulums in a variety of shapes and materials such as natural rock crystal such as amethyst, quartz, rose quartz, obsidian, carnelian, tigers eye, jade, lapis lazuli. Crystal Pendulums are preferred by some dowsers as they emit their own specific frequency and can be used in healing, Reiki, dowsing.

The pendulum is attached to a small silver coloured chain or thread about 6/8″ long and held between the finger and thumb so it hangs still. The first thing a dowser needs to do is to attune to their pendulum by finding out which way it moves in response to specific questions. So, holding the pendulum as still as possible either mentally or out loud ask the pendulum to show you “Yes”. repeat the question until the pendulum begins to move, it may start to swing clockwise or anti-clockwise , or side to side or up and down. In the majority of cases it will move in a clockwise direction in response to your “Yes” question. Although it does depend on the individual. Once you have established “Yes” you can then ask it to show me “No”. This time the Pendulum should swing in the opposite direction. Next you ask it to show you “Dont No” once again it will move either up and down in a straight line or left to right, finally you ask it to show you “Maybe” Depending on what the pendulum is going to be used for you can of course programme the movement to whatever questions you want, the main two being Yes & No.
